Description:
The laboratory of rocks thin-section fabrication is equipped with:
- large saws and a micro-saw for cutting and preparing thin sections of rock
- polishers
- a glue press
Work carried out by the workshop:
The laboratory of rocks thin-section fabrication is equipped to prepare thin-sections and polished sections of rock (30 μm in thickness) for optical microscopy observation of mineral structure and texture.
